Fall Photos: Bethesda Maryland Photographer

This blog has been severely neglected recently... I've been busy with lots of sessions in time for the holidays! I'll be back soon with October photos. In the meantime, enjoy a few Fall images from our family hike in Great Falls Park last weekend. I'm glad we got to enjoy the gorgeous weather before it's too late!

Portrait Fun in Florida : Maryland Photographer

We have been on numerous vacations with L and J over the years and we always have an amazing time together. There is always good food, plenty of drinks and lots of laughs! Our mini-trip to Florida was no exception. These pictures were taken during a martini-inspired photo shoot while we waited for the fireworks to start and our next round of cocktails to arrive. I feel very lucky to have such great friends and travel-buddies. Can’t wait for our next trip!

I had some fun playing around with overlays in photoshop. They are addictive!

I Heart my iPhone

It is not always ideal to carry around my big camera with me all the time. Especially on the beach with sand and salt water air... it doesn't mix well with camera equipment! So this weekend while we were in Florida for July 4th I left my camera in the room. I was pretty excited to just use my iPhone to capture the weekend. I know it's not a new thing but I had not yet taken full advantage of the iPhone camera. So here is a quick collage of photos I took using the Shake it Photo App. The tunnel photo on the right side was taken inside a new hotel in Jacksonville called One Ocean. We checked it out for cocktails and fireworks. Nice spot to stay if you ever find yourself in the Jacksonville area.

If anyone is actually reading this blog.....I have two more weekend posts coming soon! One of L & J and the other of some cute kiddos.

Beach Weekend : Nags Head, North Carolina

A few weekends ago we took a trip down to Nags Head, North Carolina with some friends. We were blessed with the most gorgeous weather and a rental house only 1 block from the beach! May is off-season so with no crowds or traffic we were able to enjoy a full weekend of BBQ’ing, sunning, and relaxing. The beach was all ours, literally. I didn’t take too many pictures (too busy working on my tan), but I was able to sneak in a few.  Sunset is my favorite time of day, especially on the beach.

Delilah is not much of a swimmer or a beach bum - but she sure is fun to hang out with!

Nags Head is definitely on my list of places to visit more often.
