The K family lives on the beach; like walk out the backdoor and step in the sand close to the beach! I'm so jealous. Their house is gorgeous and so are they! With four boys...all starting with the letter J, I had my hands full keeping track of who was who. I can't imagine what it's like keeping track of their schedules and activities!
It must be so much fun to grow up so close in age. Never a dull moment! And being as handsome as those boys are, they are sure to break a lot of hearts as they get older.
Aren't they the cutest? I love this photo because you can see each of their different personalities in their expressions.
Thank you, K family, for letting me capture this stage in your lives. I'll see you again soon!

Anna at Arena Stage : Washington DC Portraits
Anna is a friend of mine that I met though the Washington School of Photography. She is a super nice person who is outgoing and full of energy and she is a very talented photographer. She used to work at Arena Stage in Washington DC and helped bring the renovations for this beautiful building to life. Arena is one of the largest theaters in the country dedicated to performing arts. Because of Anna's background in architecture and design, she effortlessly brings this eye to her photography to produce some very creative images.
Recently Anna announced that she was moving back to Florida and asked me to do a lifestyle photoshoot of her at Arena Stage….of course I said yes! As a photographer, she wanted to have the memories of her time working there documented before she left the DC area. I was flattered that she asked me to capture this for her!

Summer Pies : Washington DC Food Photography
Delicious pies by MENUS Catering! I took these photos in early August for their monthly special. The flavors are Strawberry Rhubarb, Blueberry Crumb and Fresh Peach.
Photographing food is another aspect of photography that I really enjoy. These images were shot with natural light by an open window using Canon's 50mm 1.4 lens. I am pleased with the way they turned out. The best part was getting to taste them when I was done. Yum!

Happy Baby Boy :: Maryland Baby Photographer
Just one image from my session yesterday... Isn't he the happiest baby ever? Babies at this age are known for being tougher to photograph because they can't sit up yet. But his parents had some great tricks to get him to show off. As soon as mommy starting singing E's favorite song, he would smile from ear to ear. This set of photos was so fun to capture! His smile is contagious.
Thanks for coming to the studio! You have a beautiful baby and I can't wait to share the rest of the images with you.
