This 6lb beautiful baby girl was a pleasure to photograph. She gave me a mix of awake and sweet sleepiness. Such a beautiful family and such good friends of mine! I have been anxiously awaiting her arrival and I'm glad I took the trip to Baltimore to meet her.

Onesies Maryland

I had a fun time being part of the Maryland Winter Onesies program earlier this month.  Robyn does such a great job organizing this group by planning fun and educational activities for moms and their babies. Here are just a few of the cute kids I got to hang out with during our mini-photo sessions. It was great meeting everyone!

Rachel + Stuart Married! | Sneak Peak

I can’t think of a better way to kick-off  2011 than by posting Rachel and Stuart's wedding sneak peak! On a brisk Sunday in December, Rachel and Stuart created an intimate day filled with lots of love, family and friends. It started with a beautiful ceremony followed by a relaxed Sunday brunch. The whole day was warm and inviting, fun and laid back. They made each other smile and laugh and absolutely lit up when they saw each other. 

 I am honored that they trusted me to capture their special day. Enjoy their slideshow!

Giving Back : Bethesda Maryland Photographer

Last week I had the opportunity to participate in an event that benefitted the Lourie Center and allowed me to give back to the community. The Holiday Giving Concert event at Kidville in Bethesda included a Little Maestros concert, pizza and photos with Santa. Everyone really enjoyed themselves and it was a successful event organized by Onesiesdc.com. Even better, the Lourie center families all received awesome holiday gifts graciously donated by the families of Onesies and Kidville.

The Lourie Center is an early head start program that provides comprehensive, year-round, child and family services to low-income families. Families are linked to community resources such as food, clothing, housing, child care, employment, English classes, health care and mental counseling.

Mini Sessions Recap : Bethesda Family Photographer

It's been a while since I've posted here and I have lots to catch up on. To start, October's mini sessions were a success! Rachael and I met up with a few wonderful families at Brookside Gardens in the late afternoon for some photos against a gorgeous fall backdrop. It was so great to meet each family and spend some time together, and of course to get some great photos! I loved interacting with all of the kids... they were so cute. I hope to see all of you again soon!

A+ G Engaged! Maryland Engagement Photographer

Amanda and Gab are getting married at the beautiful Meadowlark Gardens so they wanted their engagement photos to reflect more of an urban city feel; the exact opposite of what their wedding images will be. I thought this was a great idea and am happy we were able to accomplish the look they were going for. Georgetown was the perfect location and offered tons of great spots for photos, I could have spent all day there. We started out down by the water and made our way up to M street among the crowds of busy Saturday afternoon shoppers.

I love how these images reflect how comfortable Amanda and Gab are with each other, just having fun and enjoying their time together. That is what being engaged is all about!

There were so many images that I liked - I had trouble deciding which few to show! 

If I had to pick just one favorite, this would be the one.

Aren't you dying to know what he said to get her to laugh like that? This one would make a great canvas!

N + H Engaged!

Meet Harris and Nancy!  I love these two! They are good friends which made it a blast to photograph them. And they were SO great in front of the camera… very natural and quite comfortable. It made for some great images.  We had so much fun, it was great to spend some time together.

They are such a great match. Nancy is full of personality and has a contagious smile. Harris is a go-with-the-flow, laid back kinda guy. I think they mesh so well together. Not to mention, they are a good looking couple!

 Nancy ran a half marathon (13.1 miles) earlier in the day. And she was still smiling :) Awesome job!

 I''m really proud of this one. Nancy, you are gorgeous!

This is my favorite shot! 

Their wedding is in 2011…can't wait! Thanks for being my first engagement session ever! I loved it and love you guys!

The K Family : Virginia Family Photographer

The K family lives on the beach; like walk out the backdoor and step in the sand close to the beach!  I'm so jealous. Their house is gorgeous and so are they! With four boys...all starting with the letter J, I had my hands full keeping track of who was who. I can't imagine what it's like keeping track of their schedules and activities!

It must be so much fun to grow up so close in age. Never a dull moment! And being as handsome as those boys are, they are sure to break a lot of hearts as they get older.



Aren't they the cutest? I love this photo because you can see each of their different personalities in their expressions.
