Vacation

I will be on vacation starting tomorrow! Off to explore another part of the world. In the meantime please enjoy this irresistible little one I photographed last week. He was full of sleepy smiles. 

I am looking forward to returning to meet my March clients and filling the calendar for April and June! And I'm getting very excited to start shooting outdoors again! Spring is just around the corner :)

Practicing with a Pup : Bethesda Portrait Photographer

I'm so excited that my new studio lighting equipment arrived this weekend! I've been renting lights from the local photo store but decided it was time to have my own set. Now I'm equipped to bring my own portable studio to on-location sessions. This is perfect for the upcoming Winter months when the weather will be less than ideal for outdoor photo shoots. Within a few minutes I can easily set up in someone's home and create the 'sun'!

So what do yo do when you don't have your own children to test portrait lighting, you use the next best thing.... Bailey! My sister's terrier was the perfect model for my first in-home photo shoot. The background is available for child portraits, however I think it is much better suited for dogs and cows!

New Product - Mini Accordian Albums! : Maryland Portrait Photographer

I have been so busy lately.... lots of business things taking shape and lots and lots of editing! But I wanted to do a quick share to show this adorable little book that I am now offering - the 3x3 Mini Accordian Album! They are so cute and compact to fit in the palm of your hand and carry around in your purse or pocket. A modern take on the brag book, these albums make a lovely keepsake to give (or to keep).

I love them - they are the best little gifts. Especially for your biggest fans - the grandparents! They are also the perfect personalized touch to add-on to a birthday or baby gift.

Mini Accordian Albums are available using images from a previous session as well as all future sessions. You can choose up to 10 of your favorite photos. Different album designs are available.

Gift certificates are available! Each card is valid for one photography session either on-location or in the studio. They are a great gift idea for baby showers, new moms, one year birthdays, or high school graduations.

VA Beach Sessions in August : Bethesda Maryland Photographer

I wanted to post a quick update that I will be traveling to Virginia Beach the weekend of August 7th. If anyone is interested in a child, highschool senior, or family session please send me an email! I have availability the mornings of the 7th and the 8th for one session (maybe two). I won't be back again until late September so if you want to get an early start on photos for holiday cards, now is a great time!

New website!

I haven't done a formal post about my new website yet and I feel it is time to make everything official. My website is officially live and I am in business! The past few weeks have been so busy and I have a ton of post processing to catch up on from recent sessions. My goal is to post a sneak peak after each session so you can see the images right away. Hopefully I can stick to that goal.
